Words have flown through the minds of every trainer and every Pokemon across the lands, words spoken by all the legendaries that roam the land of Trilotics. Rather or not that trainer or that Pokemon holds faith in the great Pokemon legendaries said to protect and shape the land, the message has gone out despite it all.
"Come to the shrine," they say. "Upon the setting of the sun each day, we shall bestow a gift upon one of our visitors."
All throughout the month of December, we are having our wonderful "Advent Calendar" event! If you post in this thread, offering your prayers to the legendaries [yes, it requires roleplay], you may have a gift bestowed upon you. If you do not post for that day, you will have no chance to receive a gift for that particular day.
+ In order to be entered for the prize of a specific day, you must post on that day. + Each user may only post with one character a day, though they may use different characters on different days. + The prize must go to the trainer or the trainer of the Pokemon that wins the prize. + Trainers still at the laboratory may enter, yes. + One winner will be selected each day from that day's entries at complete random.
Yes, you may be fortunate to receive gifts more than once this month. One of the participants will be chosen each and every day and we have more days than members, as it is. Remember, if you don't post, you don't get a gift. Even if neither of the admins reply to announce a winner each day, post every day anyway! A winner will be selected for each day, even if we cannot get on and announce a winner every single day.
Posts will be considered by the time the posts are entered. If your post is after midnight, our time, it will count for the day that it is timed as.
Now, have at it!

Sheba was, surprisingly, alone when she came to the shrine this day. She had left her resting companions behind just a bit away and had decided that waking the Pokémon wasn't worth it. Maybe the legendary Pokémon might even be annoyed by the constant chatter. Anyway, gifts! Of course she had heard! But wasn't that what happened here a lot anyway? Sheba wasn't sure how this was different from normal, except that it was supposed to happen much more often and that she wasn't asking for specific things this time. ...Well, that actually made it rather different. " Oh legendary Pokémon", she prayed, " You have called and I have come. Thank you for bestowing gifts upon us trainers. I would be delighted to recieve one. Thank you so much for caring about us!" Well, now, as always, she had to wait and see. But she was used to that and could hardly wait to see what the legendary Pokémon would give out to either her or others.

Why she had let Kasumi drag her into this, Aeron might never know. It had started out as a normal Wednesday--a bit nippy, but still agreeable enough for training. Of course, they never actually got around to strategizing before everything had gotten out of hand. Obviously it had something to do with this weird effect the forest had on humans, or whatever. This strange message just floated into Ron's mind and the minds of her Pokémon simultaneously. Kasumi insisted they travel to the shrine, for "good fortune" supposedly awaited them there. Aeron thought it was a load of bull, as usual, but she remembered what Remus had told her when they first met. She knew she'd have to put a little more faith in others, but this was ridiculous. They were way off track now that they'd deviated. We'll probably have to triple back, Ron speculated morosely. Her new friends were all tucked away in their Pokéballs upon--predictably--Kasumi's request. She knew that Aeron had never visited the shrine before, and one's first time in said area should always be their most significant. But still. It was all very silly, this business of asking deities she'd never seen or even worshipped before for gifts. "Quite frankly, I don't know what I'm doing here. It was against my better judgment that I strayed off our heading. But what I do know is that I need to... to take a leap of faith. This is something that's very difficult for me. I'm just not that sort of person. I believe in what I see right in front of me. The outstanding, the tangible. That tree over there, or the dirt at my feet. Anything beyond that isn't for me to worry about. And... and I'm sorry I'm such a miserable old cynic. Blame my parents for that one." She paused, feeling the wind rush beneath her hair. "Er... thanks. Thanks for listening."

Dana approached, quite cautiously. It was nice for the legendaries to offer this, she supposed as she took her place.
"Thank you for this gift," she said softly, hoping that they would hear her, and hoping that she would be worthy of one. "Thank you for bringing me here, giving me a new world, new friends..."

Late at night or, more like it, early in the morning, Sheba returned to the shrine. She really knew the way quite well by now, having walked it many times already. She only hoped that she appeared greedy to the legendary Pokémon... " Oh legendary Pokémon, I have returned", she prayed. " Thank you for giving me the opportunity again to be here in front of your shrine, waiting for a sign of you..." Really, what else could she say? She'd send one of her Pokémon tomorrow, she missed the skills to pray, seriously.

Firetra stumbled in a bit late for yesterday. But not for today! " Oh good its still here. Wow an advent calendar. Thats new. Hmm Since today is the second I guess I missed my chance yesterday." He looked at all the people here already. " Wow, am I late or what. Hello everyone." He then went up to the alter to prey to the ledgendaries. " oh mighty ledgendaries please accept my humble prayer to you. " He then steped back waiting for somthing to happen.

So this was the shrine that mysterious voice had mentioned? It was that of which lead the young trainer here. In the instant she was there, the place seemed ... deserted. Not another soul was around, and she began to wonder if the voice had been in her head - a figment of her tired imagination or had others also heard it? Well, whatever the case, she was here now and she figured it was worth a shot. She walked up to the shrine, bowed lightly and looked up wishfully, as if expecting to see something, perhaps the owner of that voice... But, alas, she was still alone. She had decided to come alone, letting her Pokemon wander around freely a bit aways. She let out a loud sigh. "Okay so ..." She hesitated. This was all ... odd for her. It was safe to say that she'd never prayed to anyone for ... well, anything. Being the independent young lass she was, she rarely sought help from any force, but now that it seemed she had been given a fresh start in this land, new things were to be welcomed, yes? Taking a few moments to take in the surprisingly calming aura of the shrine, she finally opened her mouth to talk. "H-hello? Well, I've come here today to ... speak out, I suppose." In a shy manner, Nikki began to twiddle her thumbs as she found herself at a loss for words. "Forgive me. I-I've never done this sort of thing before... But if you're willing to listen, I want to thank you for giving me this incredible chance to live out a dream of mine." Of course, she was talking about being brought to the Trilotics and becoming a trainer. "But, now to the point. I hope you don't think of me as greedy, but I have come seeking a gift. Who doesn't like free gifts, right?", she laughed nervously, then quickly cleared her throat. "Thank you for listening!" She gave another short bow and cautiously stepped back. She stood waiting for a bit, eyes searching the area, just waiting for something to happen. She wasn't sure if her prayer was heard, but she felt a bit relieved for allowing herself to go for it.

Rizen had never been at the shrine before. He had heard some talk about gifts from the Legendary Pokemon at the shrine, and so he had decided to check it out. There were some other people there, murmuring their own prayers to the Legendaries. Unsure of what to do, Rizen bowed awkwardly in front of the shrine, folding in his wings and closing his eyes. "Legendary Pokemon," he started. "Um...I don't quite know what to say, but if you're out there, thanks for giving everyone a chance to receive gifts. And I hope someday I can find out why you made my wings real." He couldn't think of anything else after that, so he concluded the prayer, opened his eyes, and stood back up, giving the shrine a last glance before walking out of its vicinity.

Ron returned diligently the following day--extremely surprising for a nonbeliever. Although, to be fair, Kasumi was the mastermind behind the idea. "Well, here I am again. Looks like I'll be doing this for the next--oh, I dunno--twenty-nine days or so." She sighed, and wiped some of the grime off her face.

The Poke'morph ran into the Shrine, annoyed at her disobediant Eevee. She was new, yes, but that didn't give her the right to disobey Sleet. She had found a lone Poke'ball hanging up in a tree, and had knocked it down. The first time she had opened it, Eevee popped out, and started running as if something had told her to. Sleet had been following it ever since. Finally, they had all stopped at the entrance. There were quite a few other trainers and Poke'mon there, but as far as she could see, there were no other Poke'morphs. Folding her ears and tail to her body, she begged that nobody would notice her. Walking in with her Eevee in the lead, she threw out Squirtle, who matched her stride. He caught sight of the other Poke'mon, and looked at Sleet with a confused expression. She gave him a look to leave it be for now, and ran on. She found Eevee kneeling almost at the statue of Articuno. It was the first statue on the left side of the Shine's entrance, then there was Moltres, Zapdos, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Mew, Mewtwo, so on and so forth. It was interesting though, that Eevee would stop by the one Poke'mon Sleet herself looked to in times of hardship. It was like each statue told story of their past, without words or sounds. But it was obvious that something had gotten Eevee to come here. But it didn't matter. Ignoring the fact that she was among humans, she knelt down in front of Articuno, knowing what sh ehad to do. "Mighty Articuno, guide me with the sheer power of ice. You know how mighty an ice type can be; use the power to guide me..."

-Danarc -Firetra "I'm really unhappy that I wasn't called upon yesterday." Said Firetra slouching " Ahh don't worry about it They really don't listen to that many people anywaysThen like a booming loud speaker came a voice from the sky. WHO SIAD WE DONT LISTEN!?!It scared them both so much that Firetra went in his pants and Danarc jumped five feet in the air. Once they got over that Danarc, shaking, said, uhhhhh that would be me whoever you are. After a pause the voice came back. Well one I'm glad that you admitted it and two why did you say that?I really just said it to cheer my trainer here up. By the way who are you?I am Lugia, MAster of the ocean and lord of the sky's . Now unless you want to face my wrath then get down on your knees and pray. And then maybe I might accept it. Then a giant gust of wind that smelled faintly of the sea swept across the shrine area. Firetra got down on his knees and put his hands together and said in a hushed whisper. " Oh Lugia, master of sea and sky. Grant me a wish so that I may be a better trainer for the world and for my friends." And with that he stood up and picked up Danarc ( who was still shaking) and put him on his shoulder and walked out.

Delos came the next day, having been picked by Sheba because he was the most mature of her Pokémon and Sheba didn't have the confidence to send someone easygoing like Feary or Napey on their own here - who knew, these two were possibly able to displease the legendary Pokémon. Delos however made his way up to the shrine, trying to evade all trainers so much taller than him before he started to pray. " Oh legendary Pokémon who brought me into this land. Please make my journey and the journey of my trainer a successful one. I would be so grateful for any help you could send us. Thank you."

On the third day of the ritual, Kasumi herself arrived at the shrine in her trainer's stead. "Wise ancient guardians, I come here to ask a favor of you--not for myself, but for my human friend, Aeron Nerys of Blackthorn City. She is new to this region, and she is battling the odds to find her way home. I have agreed to aid her in this quest, and as such, beseeching you is the least I can do." She flattened herself further upon the grass, her element, in order to strengthen the connection between herself and her legendary counterparts.

Mai sped through the forest, her feet thudding heavily as she powered forward on her large paws. The sun was getting close to setting, she didn't have much time. When she arrived, completely in Arcanine form and very content on staying that way, she noticed that group of trainers and Pokemon alike had already gathered. She supposed that this was only natural, since the message came to her and her Pokemon in their minds, surely everyone else had to have heard it too. Though, unlike many others, she missed out on the first two days. She had no real intention of showing up every day, anyway, so she wasn't beating herself up about it. The Pokemorph stopped in her tracks, eying everyone else, then slowly slipped between everyone, this coming quite easily while being such a large creature. She stopped and lowered her head. "I have arrived," she stated. "I know not what you plan...for any of us, though I am grateful for your... kindness."

" Well, since Twisted probably isn't going to get off his butt and get up here right now I might as well." Yumi waddled in to the shrine. She had dropped off her maraca and tambourine near by to show her respect. " Well then, I can't see a thing from here." She noticed the giant sized Arcanine ahead, well, at least giant compared to her. She wiggled in between the Arcanine's front legs to have a better view." Sorry, but you are kinda blocking my view of the place. Anyways, I heard your voice legendary, I come here in response to your call. I hope we can please you and are worthy of your gift. Even if my trainer is still sleeping, apologies for his absence."
