Lunasa let her little Torchic out the instant she was out of the lab. The little guy chirped up at her Hello! Lunasa smiled down at him and crouched down to his level. "Hello, little guy!" She scratched his crest happily. His colors were certainly unique but she thought he looked good. "I think I'll call you Otom." The Torchic chirped happily. It looked like he liked the name as well.

Lunasa straightened up and clapped her hands. "Well, let's go on an adventure!" Otom hopped in excitement, his little wings flapping. Sounds like fun! He darted along a path that wound before them. Lunasa laughed and and took off after him. He was just as impulsive as she was, it seemed. They were going to have a lot of fun together. But now, she had to catch up with the little guy

Not long after Lunasa set off after her impulsive Torchic, running down one of the pathways of the forest, a rustling could be heard nearby. It wasn't clear as rather it came from the bushes or the trees, but it didn't seem all that far ahead of the trainer and her new Pokemon. Perhaps it was worth taking a look, though it was anyone's guess as to what they might run into in the middle of the forest.

Otom stopped when he heard the rustling. He tilted his head to one side and chirped. Lunasa, hurry up! He wanted to see what it was! But he didn't want to leave her by herself. After all, she might need his protection.
"What is it?" Lunasa stopped next to him, twitching her ears. She could hear something moving in the forest. Maybe it was another Pokemon. That would be fun!

Soon after Otom and Lunasa had realized that there was rustling, it stopped for a brief moment. When it continued, it was obvious that it came from the bushes. Unfortunately for the trainer and her Pokemon, this was only obvious because it seemed to be running from them.

Otom blinked before dashing into the bushes. He wanted to see whatever it was that was rustling in the bushes. Maybe it was friendly. Wait, we just wanna be friends! Luckily, being a small bird, darting among the bushes was easy.
This was not the case for Lunasa. She might not have been big for a human, but she was big enough. She cursed quietly. If she blundered into the bushes, she might scare the Pokemon more. But she couldn't leave Otom alone. So she chose the only option left. She transformed and darted after Otom As an Umbreon, this would be much easier.

Just wanted to be friends, huh? Well, that did and didn't interest the Pokemon, which soon revealed itself to be a Poochyena when it stopped running from the Torchic and the Pokemorph that was now an Umbreon. It turned on it's heels, letting out a growl rather than speaking out to either of them. Now was not the time for words, and it wasn't one that enjoyed talking all that much. Actions were better than words and, right now, it seemed that it was more than ready to put that motto into action.

Otom stopped up short, cheeping quietly. He could feel the animoisty rolling off the Poochyena in waves. He had never met anyone so angry in his entire short life. Of course, growing up in a lab, this was to be expected. And he wasn't quite sure what to do now.
Lunasa stopped behind him. She eyed the Poochyena warily. It was a beautiful Pokemon and seemed to be a strong fighter. Could Otom take it? It would be good for him to get some experience in battle. It might even help him level up.

Ah, so it would be a stand off then, wouldn't it? Good, very good. The Torchic didn't act as if it really knew what it was doing, which may have been to its advantage. The Umberon, however, the Poochyena was wary of. What was to prevent the dark Pokemon from attacking if it defeated the Torchic? Either way, Poochyena lowered its head to the ground, still growling. It was more than prepared for battle!
Wild Poochyena Level 4
HP: 16 Attack: 5 Sp. Attack: 3 Defense: 5 Sp. Defense: 4 Speed: 3
Otom Level 5
HP: 20 Attack: 4 Sp. Attack: 6 Defense: 4 Sp. Defense: 5 Speed: 6
Attacks: Scratch - Hard, pointed, and sharp claws rake the foe to inflict damage. Growl - The user growls in an endearing way, making the foe less wary. The target's Attack stat is lowered.
Otom may make the first move!

Lunasa smiled. "Otom, use Growl!" She wanted the Poochyena weakened before she sent Otom in to attack. He would take less damage that way. And she hated to see her Pokemon injured.
Otom growled, fluffing his feathers up. He was ready to fight!

The Poochyena winced slightly as the Torchic Growled, feeling a little weaker afterward. Had this not been a battle, it may have laughed at a chick Pokemon growling. However, the wild Pokemon shook itself suddenly and let out a piercing Howl to counter the effects of Growl by raising it's attack stat back up.

Lunasa grumbled quietly. "Otom, use Scratch!"
Otom dashed forward, scratching at the Poocyena

The Scratch attack made a direct hit! Poocheya flinched slightly afterward, before shaking it off.
Poochyena lost 2 HP!
The Poochyena, however, was still willing and able to attack. It lunged at Otom, using Tackle.
Direct hit! Otom lost 3 HP!

Lunasa growled. She didn't like seeing her partners hurt. Even if it wasn't that serious. "Otom, use Scratch again!"
Otom stumbled backwards under the Poochyena's weight, but didn't fall. He fluffed his feathers again before dashing forward for another attack

The Poochyena attempted to jump backward to avoid getting scratched again, but it didn't manage to move out of the way in time. Otom's claws raked across its chest, though only winced from the attack. It wasn't going down that easily!
Poochyena lost 2 HP!
Again, the puppy Pokemon ran at the Torchic for a Tackle.
Hit! Otom lost 3 HP!
