A small frown was etched on Veni's face as she analyzed her situation. First, she had no idea where they were. Second, they had no supplies. Third, Triston looked as stressed than she was; and that was never good.
"Damnit...," Veni whispered the ground, her brother's shriek in the backround. How was she supposed to take care of her brother when she couldn't even take care of herself? Hunched over in self pity, she barely noticed when Tristan had wandered over.
"Go, go, going," Tristan tugged at her shirt lightly, signifying that he wanted to keep walking.
Veni sighed, "Sorry Triston, but I don't know where we are."
Tristan let out a whine. "Go!"
Veni stared at her young brother, as if pondering if they should leave or not. After a few moments, she jumped up. "Your right Triston! This is your pokemon journey, and I'm supposed to be helping you. I highly doubt that just sitting around is going to be helping anyone! I -" She turned to see Triston already walking away. "Hey! Wait up!" She looked in surprise at what was over the hill and froze. Was that house over the hill the entire time? Veni heard a small knocking noise, Triston was a few yards away, knocking on the door.

Though, upon closer inspection, the building looked much more professional and slick than a usual house, it was, indeed, inhabited by someone. This was confirmed when a Gardevoir opened the door that Triston was knocking on, a kind smile on the psychic Pokemon's face as she gazed at the boy. "Hello," she greeted, her voice sounding friendly and warm. She looked past the boy and over to Veni, nodding toward her, showing that she was aware that there was two of them. It was an interesting occurrence that there were two people traveling together, to say the least. "This is my laboratory. Would the two of you like to come in?" she offered, only after a moment.

Triston bolted into the building the moment the offer had been spoken. The young boy was seemingly happy with the new environment, as he let out a happy shriek. He took it in as his duty to touch everything he could get his hands on.
Veni, on the other hand, stayed put. Her mouth agape at the talking pokemon. "I knew it, I've been drugged. That, or I've finally went off the deep end. But Triston can see it too, so..." She muttered. Veni hesitantly walked forward. "So, your a Gardevoir or something?"

The Gardevoir seemed pleased that Triston took to everything so easily, but she frowned when she heard what Veni had to say. "I would appreciate not being called an it, if you do not mind." Most Pokemon had much better hearing than humans, unluckily enough for Veni. "As you can see, I am a Gardevoir, but my name is Maevia and I am the professor here. Now, hurry inside if you're coming in, please."
While Maevia was a friendly professor, she knew that Triston was inside and unable to keep his hands to himself. She could sense a difference in him than other humans, though, so she was kind, her voice soft as she spoke, "Would you mind not playing with everything? I am afraid something may break, if you do."

"Oh, right, sorry," Veni apologized, finally walking into the laboratory. Noticing Maevia's request and Triston her brother still grabbing away, she turned to him, "Triston, nice hands please!" She watched him pause for a moment before merely looking around, humming to himself. Veni turned towards the Gardevoir. "Excuse me Professor Mavia, but would you mind telling us where we are, why you can talk, and how we can get back home please." Veni tried hiding her stress in a formal tone.

What Maevia had witnessed with the boy and the obviously older young woman, it had her thinking, or realizing, more like it. "The two of you are brother and sister, aren't you?" The Gardevoir asked, seeking the confirmation of her assumption. If it was true, it was certainly going to be a strange case. No one had come along with something they knew in... years, if she wasn't mistaken.
"I am unable to tell you how to get back home. Regardless of where your home is, going home is not a possibility once you have come here," Maevia informed Veni, a bit of a frown on her face. Again with having to relay such unpleasant information. "You have landed yourself in the Trilotics Region and there is no known case of escaping this island region once you're on it. I, myself, did not originally come from here, but I am here with all the rest. I speak because, well, it is not that I speak any differently, I don't not think. Upon arriving here, all Pokemon and humans seem to be able to understand one another. Why that is, no one knows."
