I can't help but wondering if it seems so unusual that an admin or a mod has just as many feelings as regular members. We're not made of stone, nor are we super human. We get just as sad or upset when someone does something we don't appreciate as members do. I know, crazy concept, but Twisted, whom, in case anyone didn't know, I know in real life, knows how often I say something like, "No, I'm upset, but I'm the admin, so I can't be. I have to grin and bare it." This, he thinks, is a little crazy, considering how frustrated I have gotten over some certain events. I intend not to give further detail on this, however, I can promise that it is related to Trilotics.
I, for one, am dealing with balancing everything out while I am freaking out about events in real life. If I spend any amount of time thinking about my life right now, I either freak or get pretty depressed. However, that's my business, not anyone elses. I didn't exactly want to tell anyone this, especially the members, but what choice do I have now? I feel like I'm having to defend myself, which is something I hate both feeling and doing, because then I fear something terrible will happen like, "Oh no, the admin isn't listening and she's upset? Run awaaay."
I can honestly say, I love, love, love Trilotics, and have been wanting to get this site running for ages but, heck, right now, no one seems all too happy about what's going on. I don't think I have gotten any real positive feedback which, of course, makes it hard to know what I'm doing right. The "Suggestions and Input" section has input there for a reason and, really, I would love some input.
I highly believe that small forums need a well-knit community to survive, but I'm not too sure how well-knit anyone here is. I mean, does anyone plot things out together at all? Does anyone try to arrange roleplays with other members? Do any of the members even truly talk to one another? What makes a forum, really, is community. Trying to make fun little threads in the "Chatter" section doesn't seem to help, though, so I suppose I will have to move on to another tactic.
Anyway, right now, my mind is mush for all things Trilotics related, at least things that can be seen by members. For anyone who would like to know, I have been working on coming up with more roleplay locations to fill in the region. I have several cities/towns/villages planned out, gym leader locations, locations of legendary Pokemon, all kinds of things.
Also, here's a hint, on Christmas day, post in the Advent Calendar. No matter what it going on, it's worth it, trust me.
