Hey, so how do you guys do your characters images? First off, where do you get them, and then how do you recolor and add to them? I don't know how to do that anyway, but I'd like to know where to start for them. ^^

Taya had made the sprite for Sheba way back in the Pokelon thread in Evelon, but I made Sofia's sprite myself with the new White/Black trainer sprites.
I did it in Photoshop so I could actually use layers to put different parts of different sprites over each other, like her ribbon or the bottom part of her dress. The rest was recoloring. I actually don't have GIMP, so my sprites actually have the background color of the forum. Which I hope won't change anytime soon, haha.

Ah, I forgot this in my previous post, but I have considered opening up a thread where I will make trainer sprites for members for free. I just need to wait until my time frees up more.
Sheba, you can also make images transparent in Photoshop as well, though it has a slightly unusual saving process compared to GIMP. Otherwise, same exact way. Or, if you would like, I can make the sprites transparent for you. Though, I doubt I'll change the forums skin any time soon. I very much like it as it is... o3o

Thanks guys. ^^ I'm currently working on a few, and they've come out okay. xDDD That shop might be needed though... EDIT: This is what happens when I try to do anything artistic: I failed... XD

For a transparent background I'd say use Paint.NET its the best out there for doing that.
