Region:
"Region" travel differs from "Other Areas" travel in that the region of Trilotics must be traveled in order. Everyone starts at The Laboratory and receives their first Pokemon. These first threads do not have a minimum post amount. One only posts as many posts as it requires to gather their first Pokemon and items.
Then, one moves onto Mystic Forest, Ruelda Town, Route 1 and so on. In order for a trainer to move from one area to the next, one must post at least 50 posts with that trainer, including battle posts. These posts may span more than one thread, however, a trainer can only be in one thread at once, and must have five posts in one thread in order to move to another. [The exception to the five posts per thread rule would be Pokemon Centers, Poke Marts, shrines and similar locations.]
Yes, trainers may choose to move backward on the map in order to hunt for specific Pokemon, return to a town, or any other reason, but moving forward again still requires 50 posts.
Other Areas:
"Other Areas" travel differs from "Region" travel, in that a trainer may be in any or even all areas in "Other Areas," and in the region. The only rule is that they may only be in one thread in each individual area at a time. There is no post minimum required in "Other Areas," unless otherwise stated in a specific area.
Pokemon Centers:
Pokemon Centers are normally found in all towns and cities, though some may be scattered in other areas throughout the region. Every Pokemon Center will heal all of a trainers party Pokemon for free.
Be aware of how near or far the closest Pokemon Center is, at all times. Being stuck away from a Pokemon Center with Pokemon that have dangerously low HP can be terribly risky. If all of your Pokemon faint and you are far away from a Pokemon Center, you may risk one or more of your Pokemon running away from you permanently.
Poke Marts and other Shops:
Poke Marts sell a variety of items and differ in stock and in size from mart to mart. Every mart carries at least one type of pokeball and potion.
Occasionally, other shops or traveling salesman will be found in towns, cities and other areas.
It is a good idea to stock up on Pokeballs and potions when visiting Poke Marts if others are not in the road ahead. Not all Poke Marts sell revive potions, either, so it is especially good to stock up on them when they are available.
