"I'm Dana," said Dana, looking curiously at the other girl's ears and tail. She couldn't see a headband or a piece of elastic anywhere, and those limbs seemed quite real.
"Aren't you cold?" she added. "I'd never wear a tank top in this kind of temperature..."
"I think she must have grown up in a cold climate. That probably explains why she's dressing up as a Glaceon." Dana looked confused, and Mumble explained. "That's an Ice-type Pokemon, like Articuno is. They tend to live in snowy areas." He turned back to Sleet. "Did you have a Glaceon as a partner before?" He couldn't see one at her side now, but maybe she had one before she came to Trilotics.
"And I agree, we should get going," added Dana. "The sooner we go, the better, no?"

Adian watched rather quietly as the pokemon spoke. Such an odd request from a so-called "clone" pokemon. The blue bird pokemon wanted the gathered trainers trainers to pair up and go hunt down an egg or something. "Pairs, eh?" Adian said, looking over the crowd. No one seemed promising. Well, it wasn't as if Adian was all too well equip for the job. He had only two pokemon, neither of which he was too familiar with.
Oh well, Adian thought to himself, might as well do what the giant bird tells me to do. Adian walked towards the group of people and said, "So, anyone looking to partner up?"

Wow! A clone Pokemon thought Twisted, what a strange sight. That would explain the chill on the way there. Twisted would have gone and asked for a partner but coming from gypsies mingling was never exactly their strong point. Then the thought hit him and he turned to his pink Pokemon.
"Yumi!" exclaimed Twisted "'You go and find us some partners. You love talking and who could resist your cute looks." With that she walked in asking anyone who could hear her, only turning back to give her shy trainer and a quick glare.

The top! Finally! Venya thought as his hand grasped the last rock before the edge of the plateau. He pulled himself up and rolled over at the edge, breathing heavily from the climb. Shortly thereafter, his Charmander, who had insisted on climbing as well, crawled up and onto his stomach before collapsing as well.
Voices drew his attention and further across the flatenned shelf of the mountain, was a small crowd of people. They appeared to be pairing up, for whatever reason, but in the center of the crowd stood a large blue bird. Now that Venya had cooled down from the climb, he noticed that the temperature here was lower than it should be, the cold radiating outward from the bird. His Charmander took notice, too, and gasped at the sight of it.
"It's a legendary! The great Articuno!"
This confirmed Venya's guess that a legendary was behind the second letter he had received, like the one he had at home. He had come in hopes of discovering what goal he was brought here to complete. "Don't be too excited. You'll be legendary one day as well."
He stood up, brushing off the bit of frost that had formed and made his way to the crowd to determine what was going on.

Although Rizen was used to hearing Pokemon speak by now, he was still a little surprised when the Articuno spoke in a feminine voice. He frowned upon hearing its words. "A clone?" he muttered to himself. "What kind of people would dare use a Legendary Pokemon like that?" He wondered how he would feel if he was the one to find the egg of a Legendary Bird.
Once suggested to pair up, the rest of the trainers around him started talking to each other. Rizen figured that he should try to pair up too. He glanced around the area and saw another male trainer, a latecomer, arrive on the scene with a Charmander. Rizen stood there for a moment and then approached the other boy.
"Did you catch any of that?" he asked the newcomer.

The boy who spoke had strips of metal hanging from his back. On further inspection, it appeared to be wings, styled after those of a Skarmory. The crowd of people here were the first humans Venya had seen since arriving in the region. A quick glance over the group showed that a handful had distinguishing features, so he thought little more of it.
"I only heard something about pairing up. Did the Articuno give everyone a mission?"

Rizen nodded at the boy's words. "Articuno is apparently a clone," he informed the other trainer. "It also has two clone siblings, a Moltres and a Zapdos, that are still in their eggs. It said that these eggs are still hidden on this mountain somewhere." Rizen gestured towards the mountain with his arm. "We're supposed to go looking for them."
He lowered his arm and stared the boy in the eye. "Would you like to partner with me? The name's Rizen, by the way. Don't think I mentioned that before."

Twisted
With a shy smile, Jessari approached the masked trainer. "Your Pokemon asked if I'd be interested in teaming up with you, but she bounced off before I could answer."
Although the ice had receded, the air hadn't completely warmed yet, and she rubbed at her arms to remove the remaining chill bumps. It had taken a lot for her to approach him alone, but although she held Dimka's pokeball in her hand, she hadn't yet activated it. He'd gladly brave the cold for her sake, give her the feeling of safety she craved, but she wanted to prove to herself that she was stronger than that. She would call him when she needed him, but now was not the time.
"Could I? Join you, I mean?"

Cloned Pokemon? Mai found the Articuno's tale a bit difficult to believe, by why couldn't it be possible that humans had somehow managed to clone a Pokemon? After all, some Pokemorphs were artificially made in laboratories, and they existed. She wasn't one of them, but that was beside the point. It wasn't as if the young Legendary Pokemon would have any reason to lie and tell such fables.
Mai looked around her, not entirely thrilled that she would have to join with someone else. She didn't want to, of course, but there wasn't much choice in the matter if the Articuno requested it, and she wasn't about to miss out on the chance for a good adventure.
There were other Pokemorphs in the area, but there were some people that just appeared to be regular humans. How complicated things could be. One of the Pokemorphs, a Glaceon, teamed up with two humans. It was something that Mai couldn't think about doing after being so poorly treated by her ashamed family. It wasn't well to be the only Pokemorph in a large family.
But then her eyes came to an extremely cheerful Igglybuff that was tossing out invitations left and right. But, rather than agreeing right away, her gaze traveled to the trainer that it seemed to belong to. It was a young man and, if she wasn't mistaken...
'Well, he must be as good of a choice as any,' she thought, approaching the small balloon Pokemon, her Aracanine tail wavering back and forth slowly in a friendly manner. It was better to seem friendly, right? "I'll join you," she said. "It looks like there will be three of us, but..." Her words traveled off, since the statement, "the more the merrier," wasn't exactly what she would say. "I'm a Pokemorph, too."

Twisted watched as his small balloon Pokemon asked every living thing in sight to team up with them and quickly switch without warning. He couldn't help but chuckle at her small attention span. None the less a trainer had heard and approached him. "Hello," he replied " by all means please join us. I'm quite sorry on her method of asking, she just can't help but constantly move and badger people."
At this moment Yumi shouted from a short distance, "I found one!" She obviously missed the other trainer that Twisted was speaking to. Turning back to the trainer with the poofy tail, she added, "Hi, did you say three? Is there another person with you? OH MY GOD! You have a tail!" Yumi instantly ran and started grabbing the new trainer's tail.

Well, that seemed to work...
Mai pointed toward Twisted and Jessari when Yumi questioned her, since she seemed to miss the obvious. "It seems that she heard your call, t -- Hey!" It was just then that she felt the Pokemon tug at her tail and, in twisting her head around to see just what the Igglybuff was doing, she let out a growl from deep within her throat. Perhaps she looked human, but her growl was certainly threatening enough. "Could you stop that?" Her words came out strained, but she bite her tongue, preventing herself from shouting.
Abruptly, the trainer reached for her tail to snap up the Igglybuff in her hands, though not too tightly. "I don't really like my tail being tugged on," she explained. The Igglybuff must have been a handful for her trainer, so Mai assumed, but she was also attempting to endear it if only for the event ahead of them.

"It's alright, really. I think she's adorable."
Then another trainer approached them. Brown eyes widened slightly at the other girl's appearance, and widened even more at the word that came out of her mouth. Pokemorph. Although she wasn't anywhere close to fluent in latin, Jessari knew enough to know that 'morph' could mean 'form' or 'to change'. Did that word mean that the other trainer was part Pokemon? She'd noticed others with strange appendages or ears, but hadn't been able to work up the courage to approach them with questions. For all she knew, it was like walking up to a blind person and asking how they lost their sight. If only she had the courage to tell them why she was so curious...
Jessari hid a smile behind her hand as the small pink pokemon bounced around like a hamster on caffeine, its antics distracting her from her thoughts. After a moment's thought, she pressed the button to release Dimka from his pokeball. It was alright to do it now, because she wasn't bringing him out for protection, but rather for introductions.
"My name is Jessari," she said as Dimka took a moment to look around. "And this is Dimka, short for Dimitri."
Dimka sized the other two trainers up with a critical eye, as if trying to gauge their motives in talking to his trainer. "That's right, I'm Dimka, and I'm a bad a-" Jessari's face paled even as she laid a warning hand on his head. "I'm tough," he rephrased for her benefit, crossing his little blue arms over his chest, "so don't try anything funny!"
"Don't mind him," Jessari half-whispered, red flooding her cheeks. She'd hoped that Dimka had started to ease up on his protective streak, but apparently that had been too much to hope for. "He's really nice, once you get to know him." Dimka let out a scornfull hmph, making it clear that he wasn't interested in knowing anyone but his trainer.

Twisted grew embarrassed at Yumi's actions. "Yumi! I'm sorry about her, she just can not help herself," he said, reaching out and taking her back from Mai. Though, Yumi quickly squirmed her way out of her trainers hands and floated towards the other female trainer. She then landed on Jessari's head, giggling uncontrollably.
"Hello all of you. I'm Twist of Fate, more commonly called Twisted. Yes, it is a strange name, I know. I came from a gypsy family and it's just complicated. These other fellows," he said, gesturing towards his other Pokemon behind him, "Are my other Pokemon, who, by Yumi's instructions, held a rope on the way up here."
"I guess we are partnered up and should be off on our way soon?"
