Name: Danielle "Dragon" Elleison
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Age: 15 yrs.
Height: 5' 4''
Weight: 164 lbs.
Blood Type: BO-
Hometown: Azalea Town, Johto region
Occupation: Pokemon Trainer, Singer
Personality: Dragon's really taken on the calm and self-assurance she was raised with. She's good at adapting to severe situations, although she might end up a bit on the excitable side while doing so. While she has the tenacity and perception needed to work her way though all sorts of problems, she's often guilty of taking on too much at once - and a tendency to "go with the flow" means she's not too worried about finishing any of it. Despite having a brain - really, she does - Dragon sometimes forgets to use it, and takes even the most unscrupulous circumstances at face value in bursts of youthful naivete. On the other hand, what is obvious value and action to her isn't always to obvious to others. Growing up around Ruelda means she has a heavy belief in magic, going so far as to find it in absolutely everything around her. It has to be, doesn't it? Everyone who loves Pokemon must have that special something.
History: Dragon was never teleported to the region. She was never told to say goodbye, or torn away from a former life. She's never known a day when she couldn't speak to the Pokemon she loves so much. And while this works just fine as far as she's concerned, it's not because the typical system failed to work: it was only her mother, Iria, who was taken from Johto shortly before Dragon was born. Iria doesn't mention the story often, but she doesn't really need to - a tale as fantastic as that of becoming stuck in another world is the kind of thing you only need to hear once.
Not to say it's a joyful tale. Dragon has several pictures of the father she never got to meet, passed away only a few days before Iria received an unusual letter of condolence in the mail. The woman was bitter in her grief, lamenting that she had nothing to "say goodbye" to - not anymore. It was a dark time in the former Breeder's life, and Iria let her duties lapse. For almost a week, she neglected her responsibilities to her job, to her unborn child, and to herself. Until, of course, anonymous condolences became so much more.
The surprise of transportation snapped Iria out of grieving; a woman's got to survive, after all. As she always had, she declined the life of a Trainer. Perhaps the loss of her hubby, also an ambitious and caring - if not particularly skilled - Trainer, was still too fresh a wound. Iria he chose instead to move to the outskirts of Ruelda Town, a little closer to the Mystic Forest than town proper. By the time she gave birth to Dragon, she was restored to her calmer, gentler roots. The baby girl was named for her father's favorite type of Pokemon, in hopes that she would take on those noble traits.
Dragon has played in the Forest and made herself useful around town since her first steps. Iria has raised her with all the knowledge of life, survival and Pokemon that she's ever known. And now, she's pushing Dragon out into the world...not that the teen's going quietly. If she's got to go be a Trainer, Dragon reasons, then she wants her mom to take up Breeding again: that way they both get to do something they really love.
