Bronzy teetered back in the air when he was hit again.
"This isn't looking good", Napey commented.
"I know, I know." Sheba was biting her fingernails by now. This was pretty bad. The Glameow did more damage than Bronzy and it had the head start. "Bronzy, use Tackle! Don't worry, we got your back!"
As Bronzy caught himself and started to attack again, Sheba handed her satchel to Napey. "Try to find of these Potions for me, will you? I have to watch the battle...well, as much as I can watch in the darkness."
"Got it!" Napey started to rummage around in the satchel. "Come on, come on..."

The Glameow huffed, jumping back after landing its attack. It eyed both the Pokemon it was fighting and its trainer. At any point in battle, the trainer could end up switching out her Pokemon. It had to wonder if she would call her Chimchar to battle if it came up or really use one of her man-made items.
Either way, it didn't matter too much. This was more entertaining than talking had been, and that was what was important to it. It was almost too busy thinking, it only realized that the Bronzor was coming for it when it was too late to move at all. The floating Pokemon knocked into it, causing the Glameow to be pushed back.
Glameow lost 3 HP! Glameow has 8 HP left!
The feline Pokemon shook itself, shaking off the attack once it had regained its footing. Its eyes narrowed then and it did something unexpected once more with its Fake Out attack. It jumped at Bronzy, though it jumped so that its front paws grabbed it and it swung its back feet in at it with a powerful kick. At the instant after the hit landed, it released the psychic Pokemon, landing once more.
Hit! Bronzy lost 3 HP! Bronzy has 6 HP left!

"Oh no, oh no!" Sheba couldn't really see anything, but just hearing how her little friend got hurt was terrible for her. This was why she hadn't want to become a trainer. Because she hated to see those she cared about hurt. And Bronzy was such a gentle soul, this was just not right!
"Got it!" Triumphantly, Napey got one of the Potions out and, after two failed attempts in the darkness, managed to put it into Sheba's hand.
"Good job! Bronzy, I'm coming!" Stumbling two steps forward and almost falling over whatever stone was there on the ground, Sheba reached the fighting Pokémon.
"This hurts..." Bronzy chimed quite weakly.
"I know, it's gonna be better soon..." Sheba applied the Potion as well as she could in the darkness. "There you go! Now get it and win this!"
"Will do!"

Bronzy has been restored to full health!
The Glameow was starting to pant, having already used up a good chunk of its energy running and slamming into the Bronzor over and over again. It shook its head, trying to remain confident. Unfortunately for it, it knew fully well that the Potion that the trainer used on the Bronzor would now mean that the Glameow would end up loosing. It didn't have any fancy items to help it in battle, only pure endurance and willpower.
Again, the Glameow ran at Bronzy, making use of its Fake Out attack. Instead of doing anything fancy, it decided that the least expected thing, at this point, would be to slam into it head on, which it did.
Direct hit! Bronzy lost 3 HP!

"Alright! Go, Bronzy! Tackle it!" Sheba ordered as soon as Bronzy had caught himself after the latest attack. "Um..." She looked down where she guessed that Napey was. "Hey Napey, do you think I should...ask this time?"
"Ask? About what?"
"Well, if the Glameow wants to be captured. I reckon that now, that I can speak with Pokémon, it would be only nice."
"So you just want to shout in the middle of the battle..." Napey laughed. "Feary is right, you are an odd one."
"Yeah, probably." Sheba laughed lightly. "Um, hey, Glameow!" she called. "I don't want to distract you from the battle or anything, but if you end up losing, do you want to be captured or would you rather remain wild?"

Too tired to dodge, Bronzy collided with the Glameow without a hitch. This time it was powerful enough to send it flying backward. It hit the ground on its side, yowling softly on impact.
Glameow lost 3 HP!
The feline Pokemon sucked in a deep breath before slowly rising to its feet again. Its ears twitched soon after, hearing the trainer calling out to it. Did it... want to be captured? Well, the human was definitely... kind. It would beat going back to the laboratory, wouldn't it?
"I would rather have a trainer than to return to the laboratory," it called back in return. "I do not like the laboratory all that much." Its tail flicked back and forth several times. "Had you not need this battle to help Bronzy level up, I would forfeit to you. You have already proven yourself."
After her using the Potion on the Bronzor to keep it from fainting, was it fair to steal away its chances of leveling up and healing itself once again? Something about it didn't seem right. With that thought in mind, the Glameow closed in for another Fake Out attack, somehow finding the energy to run at a tree, climb up it part of the way, and launch itself at Bronzy.

It...didn't like the laboratory? But Maevia was so kind! Or was it talking about a different laboratory? Sheba didn't know, but if the Glameow didn't want to go back, she'd respect that wish. "Alright, then I'll capture you!" she called back. "I promise I'll take good care of you!"
Sheba was about to accept the battle result as it was, not wanting to have another Pokémon faint on her, but then the Glameow attacked again and she hesitated. The Glameow was obviously being kind and offering Bronzy a chance to level up, using its last powers to do so. "A-alright! Bronzy, tackle it once more!" she finally decided. Who knew how far it was until they reached the town? She only had one more Potion left and the level up was needed.

The Glameow took the attack from Bronzy once more, the power of the attack sending it back into the ground for a second time. It yowled again when it hit the ground, panting heavily this time.
Glameow lost 3 HP! Glameow has 2 HP remaining!
The wild Pokemon didn't move right away, trying to stray from panting and breathing deeply instead to get more oxygen into its system. When it got up, it was easy to tell that the Pokemon was weakened.
Just one more attack from both parties and it would all be over.
The Glameow swallowed hard, before rushing out to the side and curving back in toward Bronzy. When it got close, it sprang into the air, throwing itself at the psychic Pokemon with all of its remaining might.
Direct hit! Bronzy lost 3 HP!

Sheba couldn't help but admire the willpower of the Glameow. Given the fact that Bronzy's body was made from steel, the other Pokémon must have been pretty shaken by all these Tackles, yet it kept attacking. "It's almost over, Bronzy! Once more and you should have it!"
"Alright!" Bronzy chimed, happy that victory was finally in reach.
"You do realize that the Glameow will have problems leading us out of here if it's too weak to walk", Napey added from the sidelines.
"I know", Sheba sighed. "I've thought about that, too. But it wants to finish the battle and Bronzy needs the level up. We'll somehow manage."
"You only say that until the next branch hits you in the face."
"Be quiet."

"Just carry me," the Glameow meowed out in haste as a solution to their problem. If it was carried, it wouldn't have to use energy to walk, but it would still be able to see. With just a bit of rest, it would be able to walk again, even if battling was out of the question.
Just afterward, the Tackle attack hit the Glameow once more, knocking the wild Pokemon to the ground. It tried to keep its eyes open and even stand again, getting halfway up before collapsing in defeat.
Direct hit! Glameow lost 3 HP!
Wild Glameow is unable to battle! Sheba wins!

"It's over!" Sheba sighed in relief when the battle finally ended. "I'm proud of you, Bronzy!" She hugged the Pokémon.
"The next time, I want to win without help", Bronzy chimed, equally happy that it was over.
Sheba felt around until she found her satchel and grabbed one of the Pokéballs. Hoping that it wasn't the one with Feary inside, she went to the fainted Glameow and gently dropped it on its head.

Luckily for both the Glameow and the trainer, the Pokeball that Sheba dropped seemed to be without an owner, as it snapped up the wild Pokemon in a flash of red light. The Pokeball wiggled and flashed only once or twice before settling down. The Glameow had already agreed to join the group if it lost, so what need was there to fight once inside the ball?
Congratulations! Sheba caught a Glameow!

Happily, Sheba picked the Pokéball up. She had made another friend. By now, she felt more like a Pokémon hoarder than a trainer, having gotten four Pokémon in one day, but she really loved them all.
"What are you waiting for, let it out!", Napey called. "I want to get out of here!"
"True." Sheba threw the Pokéball and the Glameow appeared again, stumbling a bit as it caught itself. "Are you alright?" Sheba quickly picked the Pokémon up.
"Yes, I'll be fine." The Glameow nodded.
"Thank you for the battle!" Bronzy chimed.
"Hah. It was my pleasure." The Glameow was a bit proud of itself, knowing it would have won if Sheba wouldn't have used that Potion. "Well, you proved yourself worthy and you're now my trainer, so let me get you out of here, right?"
"That would be amazing", Sheba agreed. "Is it far until the town?"
"It's quite a bit away, yes. I doubt that we'll reach it before the sun goes up, even if we walk all night."
"Oh no." Sheba sighed. "I'm hungry and my feet hurt. I never had to walk so much before..."
"There is a small lake not far from here and the water is quite clear, from what I've seen. I doubt we'll find food this night, but it seemed to be a good place to rest, should you wish to rather not travel tonight."
"Sounds good", Napey agreed. "I'm quite thirsty, too."
"Yes, let's head there, then. Everybody ready?"
The Pokémon agreed and slowly, the group started to move through the dark forest again.
"You need a name", Sheba told the Glameow, just to say something and not get scared by all the noises the forest made in the night.
"Here we go again..." Napey sighed. "Lemme guess: The evolution is called Purugly, so you're gonna called it Purry."
"Now don't be silly", Sheba laughed. "I'm not naming someone something that rhymes with curry! We'll make an exception here and call you...Glammy!"
"Couldn't I have been an exception, too?" Napey grumbled.
"Glammy, huh?" The Glameow nodded, slowly. "Well, it's a bit of a girly name and I'm very much male, but I suppose I can live with that."
"Awesome! It's decided then!" Sheba laughed.
"I like your names~" Bronzy chimed.
"You're all strange", Napey decided.

" Tree to the right. Oh, and to the left of you, Bronzy. Napey, stone in front of you. Sheba, there's a branch." " Oof!" " Eep!" " That was close!" Traveling in the night didn't get much easier, even with Glammy's eyes. There were simply too many trees around, everywhere and everyone but Bronzy stumbled over roots and stones. So when the small group finally heard the sound of water, they were all quite relieved. Glammy guided them to the edge of the small lake and showed them where a small stream flowed into it so that everyone could drink. Sheba didn't feel happy that she couldn't see how clear the water really was, but pushed that aside for the sake of finally drinking something. " So, what now? Are we staying here for the night?" Bronzy asked. Sheba thought about it for a moment, then nodded. " Yeah. We'll probably travel much faster during the day. Glammy, do you think we can reach the town tomorrow?" " Yes, that should be possible." " Then it's just this night out in the open. That's good." Sheba sighed. " The first priority in the morning will be food, however." " We'll look around once the sun rises", Napey agreed. " Do you think it's dangerous here?" Sheba asked. " I'd like to try and get some sleep, but not if we get ambushed in the darkness again." " I'll stay awake and watch the surroundings", Glammy offered. " But you're weakened!" Sheba protested. " You need the most rest here!" " I'll be fine, I slept during the day." Glammy jumped from her arms and sat down on a nearby rock. " Just go to sleep." " I'll take over after a few hours", Bronzy insisted. " We all need rest." " As you wish then." " We'll should at least tell Feary what's up", Sheba said and rummaged around in her satchel before testing all of the Pokéballs until she found the one with Feary inside. " Huh? What's going on?" the Spearow asked. " We're resting for the night, sorry, Feary. We didn't make it to the town quite yet." Sheba petted her still exhausted Pokémon. " But we made a new friend." " Hey there", Glammy meowed from her rock. " Hello", Feary replied. " Well, let's rest then. I'll stay out here for now, too, I think. It's nice here." " You can drink if you're thirsty", Sheba agreed. " Just be careful not to fall into the lake." " Will be, will be." Feary walked away to quench her thirst. Sheba tried to find a comfortable position on the ground so she could sleep, but the ground remained, like expected, rather uncomfortable. However, she was truly exhausted after her first day in this strange region and after Napey curled up next to her, she finally fell asleep.

She woke up before the sun had fully risen and felt even more tired than before, but then again, she just wasn't used to sleep anywhere but in a soft bed. Sheba just hoped they'd really find Ruelda today so she could get a good night's rest then.
Tired, she walked to Bronzy, who was standing guard. The other Pokémon had curled up next to each other and were all asleep and Sheba didn't want to wake them yet. The small psychic Pokémon flew to her and settled down in her arms, falling asleep quickly and Sheba yawned, taking over the last part of the watch and watching the sun finally lighting up the forest a bit.
The lake was really beautiful and clear and Sheba gently put down Bronzy to at least wash herself a bit and drink some more water. By the time she was done, the Pokémon were all slowly waking up and joining her. After everyone was finished, Sheba rubbed the last sleep from her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Feary, Glammy, how are you two feeling?"
"Hungry, mainly." "Same here."
"Yeah." Sheba nodded. "I say we look around the area for food a bit, but if we find nothing, we start traveling again as soon as possible."
"Good plan." Glammy pointed into one direction. "The town is that way."
"Alright. Feary, Glammy, do you want to wait here while Napey, Bronzy and me try to find something edible? Or do you want to rest in the Pokéballs instead? I admit I'd feel safer if you were in them, I don't want you two to get attacked, you're in no condition to fight."
"I don't mind", Feary agreed. "It's not bad in there."
"Hm, yes. But do call us out as soon as you found food - or at least me if you're going to travel again. Not that you get lost again."
"Will do." Sheba called her two weakened friends back into their Pokéballs. "Well, Napey, Bronzy, it's back to being us for now! Let's move out, but let's stick together."
Together, they started to look around the lake for food.
