Sheba and her small army of Pokémon entered the Pokémon Center and looked around. It was small, but the town probably didn't need a larger one. Sheba and Delos looked around for phones they could use to reach Maevia, but the primary concern of Sheba were her hurt Pokémon right now. She had been in a Pokémon Center quite a few time when she had to pick up a new Pokémon to care for at home, but never had that been to actually get her own Pokémon healed. A bit shy, she made her way to the front desk, not sure if she was supposed to call all her Pokémon back into their Pokéballs or not. Only Feary was resting inside her ball now and she feared her little group would disturb maybe resting Pokémon with their chatter. " Hey, quiet everyone, there might be hurt Pokémon here who need to rest", she chided them and everyone quited down. Happy with that result for now, Sheba looked around for the nurse, wondering if she should expect someone dressed like one or rather like a fortuneteller.

Upon Sheba entering the center, at least one of its workers had taken notice that a guest had joined them. Though, much to one's surprise, it wasn't a human nurse, but a Blissey adorned with a nurse's hat. Then again, with the professor of the region being a Gardevoir, maybe it wasn't so unexpected that a Pokemon was a nurse, too. "Hello there," she called out sweetly to Sheba and her gathering of Pokemon as she approached them, a cheerful bounce in her step. "My, my, there sure are a lot of you, aren't there? Are you here to get your Pokemon healed?" The last question was specifically aimed toward the trainer, clearly.

Sheba certainly was surprised to see the Blissey, that was for sure. She probably shouldn't have, but for some reason, hearing that the nurse was a fortune-teller had made her quite sure that she would meet a human nurse. Well, she had been mistaken, obviously.
Trying to not let her surprise show, she nodded at the question. "Yes, if that would be possible. We just arrived after traveling through the forest for two days and two of my Pokémon are hurt from battles."
She was unsure if Pokémon Centers could actually do something for Pokémon unhurt from battle, but maybe tired from traveling. Not that Pie and Delos had done anything but ride on her, but Napey had been walking all the time and while she didn't know if floating made Bronzy tired, he had been carrying her satchel.

"Ah, I see. Then you have come to the right place!" The Blissey spoke quite gleefully. Instantly, she began to examine each of the Pokemon that Sheba already had out. She could tell that some of them, even without battling, were somewhat worn from the travel. Still, none of them were in a dire condition. "None of them are too greatly injured. If you could return them all to their Pokeballs, I can get them fixed up for you right away!"
Just then, the pink Pokemon waddled behind the main counter and pulled out a tray with three circular depressions, just the size to fit Pokeballs, and set it down on the counter top. "They all just appear to be a little worn. Just a moment in our machine should have everyone well again."

"Thank you so much! Okay, everyone, back into the Pokéballs with you." Sheba hurried to take her satchel from Bronzy and dig for the Pokéballs through her collection of apples. Then she was left with the Pokéballs, unable to tell which belonged to which Pokémon. She quickly managed to recall Bronzy and Delos into their Luxury Balls, but the amount of Pokéballs left her experimenting like a fool for a minute. She wondered if all new trainers were having these problems or if she was just extraordinary dumb.
Finally finished she walked to the counter and put her Pokéballs onto the tray, smiling at the nurse, hoping that she hadn't just made a total fool of herself.

While it was amusing for the Blissey to watch as Sheba fumbled with all of her Pokeballs, she didn't find it funny, but she found it rather cute. She could see that this trainer was definitely new to the game.
"Thank you. It will take just a moment," the pink Pokemon said, lifting the tray up to slip it into a machine against the wall behind her counter. With a flick of a switch, the machine was activated.
Simultaneously to this, a woman with fairly short, light brown hair that was adorned in a light pink dress and white apron appeared from another room of the center. She was placing a nurse's hat that matched the one the Blissey wore onto her head. "Sorry," she said, looking toward the Blissey. "Their fortune was a little difficult to predict, but all should be well," she informed the Pokemon nurse. It took the woman a moment to realize that Sheba was there and, when she did, a bright smile lit up her face. "Oh, hello. Welcome to our Pokemon Center! I trust that my Blissey, here, has already gotten you set?"

"Thank you!" Sheba watched with interest how all her Pokéballs disappeared into the machine and wondered how this exactly worked. She sure wished she would have something like that for her aching feet, too...
Then the woman entered the room. Sheba listened attentively. So the Blissey wasn't the fortuneteller after all. The Pokémon hadn't seemed like one anyway and Sheba had been confused, but now everything made sense. She smiled back when the woman looked at her and nodded. "Yes, Blissey already took care of everything. Thank you so much for caring for my Pokémon."
She wondered if she should ask the woman to predict her future as well. It wasn't that Sheba believed much in it, but it surely couldn't hurt and if the legendary Pokémon had taken her here for a purpose, getting any hint would be helpful. Then again, it seemed like the woman had just finished something along these lines and had already left her Blissey alone for that, so it seemed rude to ask her to do it again already.

"I see," the woman responded. "Wonderful work, Adina," the nurse complimented her Blissey companion. Adina smiled in response. "You're welcome," the Pokemon added, looking back toward Sheba. "I am happy to help."
As the Blissey this, the machine containing the trainer's Pokeballs announced that the Pokemon inside were all ready to go. Adina moved quickly to pull out the tray and replace it on the counter so that Sheba could take them back. "They should be good as new," she informed Sheba.
"You're a new trainer, aren't you?" The woman asked, her question obviously aimed toward Sheba.

"Thank you so much!" Sheba gathered all her Pokéballs from the table. She briefly wondered if she should let her Pokémon out again, then again, they were a bit of a noisy bunch and it would be better to keep them inside until she was leaving again - or at least almost all of them; she hadn't forgotten about needing to phone Maevia and introducing Delos to her.
She nodded when the nurse asked her. "Yes, quite new. I kind of...involuntarily started yesterday? I suddenly woke up in the middle of the forest." Had that really been just yesterday? It almost seemed longer already. "I met a nice Gardevoir called Maevia and she kind of sent me here after telling me I'm stuck here, far away from home.[/color]" She laughed nervously. "And one day later, I already have gathered a small army of Pokémon around me. That said, I'm totally new and clueless."

The nurse didn't appear to be all that surprised when Sheba explained what had happened. It was clear that the story was all too familiar to her. "Ah, well then. You are not the first to pass by here with a story much like your own. While our town here may be considered small and a little strange, I would say it is as good a place as any to start a journey. I was born here, but my mother and father had came from other lands," the nurse explained. "In those days, there was no laboratory and everyone appeared all around the region. It is strange that, as soon as that laboratory was built, everyone started appearing in the forest."
As the nurse was speaking, the Blissey had left the room for another, going to check up on something or another in one of the back rooms. When she appeared again, she was wearing a frown on her face. "Excuse me," she said, walking back over to Sheba. "What is your name?"

"Huh. That's really odd. Wonder if Maevia is right and the legendary Pokémon are behind all this." Sheba scratched her head. "Why was the laboratory built in the middle of the forest? And why did no one try to relocate it after it was clear that people appeared around it? I got terribly lost in the forest and haven't gotten any food but a few apples my Pokémon and me found thanks to pure luck. I agree that this town is a good place to start a journey, but I'm not so sure about the middle of the forest..."
Sheba looked at the Blissey, surprised and also quite worried when the Pokémon who had been so cheerful up to now was suddenly frowning. "Uh, it's Sheba. Sheba Amalia Hilmore. Did...something happen?" Had she broken a law without knowing or something?

To Sheba's question, the nurse could only shrug her shoulders. "I have no idea why they never tried to relocate the laboratory. I know that they use part of the forest to let the Pokemon stored there out to stretch their legs, rather than keeping them in their Pokeballs. Perhaps the professor knows something that we don't. She is a psychic Pokemon, after all." While the nurse may have had some psychic abilities, it was surely nothing in comparison to a psychic Pokemon.
"Oh! It was you then," the Blissey responded when Sheba gave her name. "A Houndoom and a Pikachu came here about an hour ago, asking if any new trainers had made it here yet. They told us the names of a few trainers, but I believe they had something to give to you, specifically."

"Ah! So Maevia is the one who cares for the Pokémon of trainers who have more than six then!" Sheba nodded. That had been one of her questions to Maevia and with that answered, she now only had to phone Maevia to inform her that with her current speed of getting new Pokémon, Maevia might find herself with more Pokémon around her soon.
Sheba blinked, surprised. She knew no Houndoom, but the Pikachu could have been Sparky. Still, something specifically for her? "Was that Pikachu Maevia's friend or assistant or whatever Sparky does? I don't really know what he might want to give me, though." Well, at least it didn't sound like she was in trouble, which was good.

The nurse only nodded her head, confirming what Sheba had said. Instead, she left the floor to her Blissey, who know more about the visit from the Houndoom and the Pikachu.
Adina had to think about Sheba's question for a moment. Had the Pikachu been the one that she had heard worked with Professor Maevia? "It may have been him," the Blissey finally decided. "I'm not too sure. I have only seen him once. I'm sorry." She felt bad that she could not give the trainer a proper answer.
"That Pikachu isn't always with the professor. He only comes and goes when she needs the help, so I have heard. When he is not there, I am not sure what he really does," added the nurse.

"I see. Well, I don't really know anyone here besides Maevia and Sparky yet, so it probably was him." Sheba shrugged. "Or it was someone who got my name from them. One or the other. So, uh, are they somewhere so I can pick up whatever they want to give me?"
She couldn't deny that it was suspicious - at least a little bit - but there was no other explanation, right? Everyone she had met and given her name besides Maevia and Sparky was now part of her Pokémon team. And while certainly not all that strong yet, she had a team, so even if it turned out to be some criminal, there would be six Pokémon trying to defend her. Which was, actually, quite a nice thought. She had made so many friends in one day indeed.
