Well, she had found not just one, but two travelling partners. That was a great start. The mountain, however, was rather tall and she was not used to hiking. Sheba hoped she wouldn't make a fool out of herself. " Well...do you guys have any experience with climbling mountains?" She started to walk towards their goal. " Because I don't and would be grateful for any tips." " I'm sure you will be fine. Though it might be colder the higher we get." Delos looked at Sleet. " But I suppose this won't be a problem for one of our new companions, right? You are a Pokémorph, are you not? Forgive me for asking so bluntly, but I feel it might be useful to know how much power this gives you." " A what?" Sheba looked at Delos, then at Sleet and then at Dana, trying to figure out if she was the only one not knowing what was going on.

"Mountain climbing, huh?" said Dana. "I've climbed some in my time, but definitely not in the snow. There's not even any snow in Taiwan..." she added in a quieter voice. "My best tip is to go slow, I guess, and watch for slippery-actually, all these slopes are slippery, aren't they?"
She paused at the mention of "Pokemorph." "Huh? What's that?" she asked. "Is it another term for cosplayer?"
"I'm pretty sure I've heard a bit about them before..." muttered Mumble. "I think they're half-human, half-Pokemon? That's what I've heard, anyways," he said, before shutting up.
"Half Pokemon?" said Dana, tilting her head curiously. "That would be kind of odd...can they do everything Pokemon can?" Mumble just shrugged.
"All I've heard is just hearsay."

Sleet was looking around when Dana and Sheba finally spoke up. "Yeah, I climbed the slopes all the time in Snowpoint City when I'd go snowboarding, and this is probably just a bit more rigorous. I'd say that I agree with Dana, and just take it slow. They're going to be slippery, but it shouldn't be to much of a problem if we watch our footing." she added, looking at her feet. Her ears were pinned back as well as she could manage, but it still seemed to draw attention to her. Holding in a gasp, she looked away, worried about what the other two would think of her. But in the end, she decided it wouldn't be much better to try and avoid it. "Yeah, I'm a Pokemorph. I had a really bad accident when I was younger; I was snowboarding and had to avoid this Pokemon that popped out from behind a bolder. I swerved and hit a tree. I don't really remember anything else until waking up in a hospital. Lemme tell ya, it was like hell, all those doctors swarming around me. But I just told them all to leave. I was told though that the Glaceon that I had almost hit saved me by giving me some of it's energy, and that's how I ended up with some of it's features and abilities. I can't do much, but I can work with snow, and if I'm in trouble, I can use ice beam. I can't really do it though unless I'm trying to protect myself though. I caught the Glaceon, and she was my partner until I was taken to this region... I've got a new team, but... Well, anyway." she finished, and continued looking down at her feet, ready for the embarassment that was probably going to come from this. Of course, her Pokemon, who'd be at her side for a little while, were also unusually quiet. They'd known that their trainer was definitely different, but she'd never really told them her whole story. Quinlan, her odd Eevee, and the new Spinda that Quin had made friends with went up and hugged her leg, while Squirt and the newest teammate, Pidove, stood behind. There were still two minimized Pokeballs on her belt, a Dewgong and Fairy Audino, but she didn't want to take them out just yet. (Just ignore the Audino, since I'm not sure what to do with the little fellow just yet, regarding Sleet's adventure and such. xD)

Sheba tried to take this all in. When her and Dana's Pokémon had started talking about Pokémorphs, Sheba had assumed this was a condition native only to Trilotics, which was odd enough to have something like that, but it sounded as if Sleet had been like this even before coming here. "I have never heard of this before. It sounds pretty unusual, but also convenient. But well, I guess people look at you strangely sometimes. That must be unpleasant."
She grew silent when she thought about the Pokémon she had left at her home. Surely Sleet was lonely without her Glaceon. "You must miss your partner, even if you have great, new Pokémon." She gave Sleet a smile. "When I wished at the shrine for a Pokémon, I got one I cared for at home! Maybe you could try that to get Glaceon back?" It was worth a try, right?
She nodded at Sleet and Dana in thanks. "I'll go slow, then." They were hiking upwards by now. It was still not too terrible, but Sheba, who had never travelled much before, had the feeling she would fall back terribly in the end. She just lacked the power to climb a mountain.

"Huh, so it wasn't an urban legend then," muttered Mumble. "I always wondered how Pokemorphs were formed..."
"That's definitely interesting. Could any Pokemon do that? I mean, give their energy to someone else?" asked Dana. She definitely sounded quite curious about it.
"Don't think I'm going to do it for you."
"Wasn't going to."
"We should get going anyways," Mumble said, in a louder voice. "Which way do you think we guys should go?"

"No, I don't really know about how other Pokemorphs are created. I mean, some really are created, as in, normal trainers captured, and transformed by scientists into Pokemorphs, but I also don't think that all Pokemon can simply transfer their energy to their trainers. Glacier, my partner, once told me that she didn't even mean to do it. She just felt so bad about making me crash that it just happened. Of course, Sheba, you're right. I mean, I never really showed anyone my real form after it happened. There were others like me, but the rest of them... Well, they showed up on the news, and then never showed up again. There were rumors that they were taken up by some of the not so well known professors around the regions and experimented on. And, well, I certainly didn't want to have such happen to me... So, well... Yeah..." she said, trailing off. Of course, she was almost overjoyed that Sheba and Dana seemed to be taking all of it so well. She'd never expected for it to happen like that. She was almost expecting to be hauled off wherever she went, but it seemed that the people in this region weren't anything like that.
Quinlan, sensing that the worry in her trainer was slowly dissapating, crawled up his trainer's leg and into her arms. A slow, small smile formed on Sleet's face, and she realized that they were doddling. "So, we should probably get going, but first, can we introduce our teams? We should know each other's strengths and weaknesses before setting out in a place like this." And with that, she threw out her remaining Pokemon one at a time, leaving her extremely young Dewgong, and a mysterious Pokeball she'd found near Spinda's ball. "The Eevee is Gwenn, and Squirt, my Squirtle, was my starter in this region. Hermes, a Pidove, I just caught after it showed up pretty badly hurt, and Zellion, the Spinda... Well, Zell, I'm not to sure about. He just showed up with his own Pokeball, and one other that I'm not to keen on opening yet. My last is a young Dewgong named Dew Lilly that Articuno gave to me. I think it was the original, not the clone that we met before starting out here. He said it was forced to evolve much earlier than it should have, and she's not very keen on meeting others because of this. As you can see, I've only got an on hand team so far, but I'm not really to far in my own journey here yet... I've only gotten out of the forest, and that's when I got the letter."

"I see...that sounds quite terrible." Sheba shuddered. She didn't like the thought of experiments done on anyone, no matter if Pokémon, human or Pokémorph.
"Well, my team is...freezing, so besides Delos, who insists on staying out, the rest in in their balls. Some are with Maevia, too. I have quite a few different types, but most importantly, I have two eggs right now with me. Delos here is the father." Sheba laughed when Delos blushed and mumbled something not understandable. "I hope the cold air isn't bad for them..." She sighed. "But I got quite a few gifts from the shrine as well. Delos is one of them. I also got a Bronzor from my home." She looked at Sleet's Pokémon. "It's nice to meet you all! But I'm not sure if you can all accompany us outside. It's a hike, after all."

"Well, frankly, as long as they can all keep up, I don't mind. Isn't it safer to have more people-Pokemon-whatever with you anyways?" added Dana. "That way, if one falls, the others can help them."
"Yeah, but this way there are more potential falls. And there's also the problem of all this wind and snow," said Mumble, waving a flipper. "I don't mind it, but you others might."
"Amen," muttered Dana. "None of us are as resilient to cold as you are, I think."
"Hey, it comes with being part water-type."
"Oh, and as long as we're introducing our teams...this is Mumble," said Dana, pointing to the Piplup, "and my other Pokemon are inside their Pokeballs...I currently have four, counting Mumble."

Sleet nodded, and withdrew Squirt and Quinlan, much to their disgust. Zellion, the Spinda, stayed out, quite fine with the cold weather. "I agree, we need to watch our footing, though, judging by the outward shape of the mountain, I'd say that there are probably cave systems inside that we could take shelter in, and explore in as well. For all we know, the eggs might be in there instead of on the outside of the mountain, right?" she said, smiling. "But no, it's not actually as safe for there to be as many of us out. We don't all want to be stepping in the same place, since if could weaken that spot, and cause an accident. I'd say that if you have Pokemon who can fly, or who can easily traverse in the snow, leave them out, but put all of the others away. I can stand up to even colder temperatures myself, and might be able to help us get through the rougher patches a bit, but we'll have to be careful."

"Hi, Mumble!" Sheba smiled at the little Pokémon. It was good Dana had one that was totally resisting the cold. Sadly, Sheba had no ice or water Pokémon of her own.
"My Bronzor can float and I have a Swablu, but both hate the cold." Sheba grimaced. "I'd rather keep them in their Pokéballs. And Delos can only stay out until he gets too cold, too." Sheba sighed. Were her eggs really made for these temperatures? "At any rate, I agree we should go for the caves. It's bound to be at least a bit warmer inside, with no wind freezing us."

"Well, let's get moving then. We won't really be able to withstand this cold forever, so the faster we move, the better off we'll be. I'd say that we should head a bit further up, and then work on going to the sides. Hopefully, we'll find a ledge of some kind that we can dig into, or maybe there will already be an entrance. I can't be sure, but the eggs might be in the cave systems." Returning all of her Pokemon, she opened up her knapsack and dug through it for a second. "Ah, here we are." she mumbled, and then pulled out a snowboarding cap. She wasn't quite sure where it came from, but it was in the pack when she started off in the forest, and it certainly would be helpful in this situation. "Ready to go?" she asked.

"I agree with you there." Delos nodded at Sleet. "We are talking about eggs with Moltres and Zapdos here. Birds are not made for ice and snow. Especially not Moltres. He might have a type advantage, but too much cold is surely not good for a fire Pokémon. I would imagine their eggs are in a place where it is at least a bit warmer."
"Good thinking there." Sheba petted Delos and looked at Sleet and her cap. She wished she would have something like that, too. "And yes, let's move. It's the best way to keep warm, I guess."
Sheba carefully moved forward, trying to find a safe way up the mountain. If anything, it got colder still and snowflakes started to fall. She grimaced and looked to Sleet. "Would you go first? You know more about ice than I do and are probably better at spotting frozen or dangerous spots."

Sleet looked at Sheba, smiling. The girl was quite nice, and certainly someone she could get along with, even if she was a little girly. When she saw her eyeing the snowboarding cap on her head, she looked at her a second, and then slowly slipped it off. "Here, it'll help you. It's got two holes for my ears, but I'm sure it'll be more use to you than it is for me." she said, holding it out.
When she brought up the eggs, she nodded, agreeing with her logic. She really was quite the trainer, and Sleet guessed that she was pretty far along with her journey already. And to have already done a successful breeding? That certainly wasn't something to laugh at either.
The snow did pose a problem, but Sleet decided that she might as well try something that she and Glacier had worked on a lot before she'd been taken to Trilotics.
"Here, let me try something. You'll have to stand back though, since I don't know where the snow will end up if this does work..." she said, and she slowly raised her hands, hoping that this would work. She'd worked with Glacier constantly, trying to harness her little powers, and they would really be helpful in this situation. After a second, she began to think that it wouldn't be able to do do anything in such a harsh terrain, but suddenly, the snow in front of her began to shift. Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to keep going, taking a few steps, and then forcing the snow to part in a straight path. It went for a little while, and then started to turn. But suddenly, when she was about halfway through with the side path, she faltered, and fell to the ground, panting.

Stunned, Sheba took the cap. "Thank you!" She was not used to so much kindness from others. This region was full of surprised. Carefully, she put the cap on. "I'll take good care of it during the trip." The holes were a bit bothersome, but not enough to stop the cap from being helpful.
"You look funny", Delos commented and shivered. Sheba looked at her Pokémon, worried. Delos, good at sensing emotions, nodded. "Yes, I believe it's getting too cold for me. If I may return into my Pokéball?"
Sheba nodded. "Of course." She quickly got it out, trying not to expose her eggs to too much cold while digging in her satchel for the correct ball. Delos vanished in red light and she sighed.
That had cost her some time and when she had put the ball back again, Sleet looked like she was concentrating. Suddenly, the snow moved. Sheba almost squeaked in surprise, but she didn't want to startle Sleet and quickly pressed her hands over her mouth to stop the noise. Totally in awe, she slowly walked behind Sleet, following the newly-made path until the Pokémorph suddenly fell down. "Sleet!" Sheba rushed to her side. "Are you alright?! Can I do something? I don't have many supplies with me, but I do have a few. Do...things like Potions or Ethers work on you?" Sleet was partly a Pokémon, after all. "Though you don't look hurt or bleeding and Potions are all I have right now." She really should have bought more supplies before coming here...

"No, I'm... I'm fine. It's just, really taxing. I haven't... Used such a big amount of my powers... In such a long time..." she gasped, breathing in and out slowly. "No, potions and eithers don't really work on me like that. My system can't really support the chemicals in those products, so I get when I use them. I mean, I have used them before, but only when I had no other choice." Panting, she got herself into a sitting position, and sighed. Looking around, she saw that it had indeed worked, and there was a clear path a few yards up, and then around. "So, you two ready to go?" she asked. She knew that she might not be in the best condition to move, but they couldn't afford to slow down.
