"Hey, I think-" Quinlan called out, but suddenly found himself tumbling head over heals. He had just missed a limp body of some kind of bird Pokemon that had been in his path, but as a result, he veered off, and rammed into a tree. "Gwenn!" Sleet yelled, rushing over. She lept up over the body, needing to make sure of her own partner's health before anything else. But when the Eevee assured her that it was fine, she turned her attention on the bird Pokemon.
"Hey, Gwenn, let me go over and see the little guy. I'll try and make sure it's still alive, and while I'm doing that, see if you can find a potion in my bag." "Gotcha!" he replied, and immediately started pawing through the knapsack.
As Sleet moved even closer, she saw that something had mauled the poor thing, for there were feathers everywhere, and lumps all over its body. "Hey now little one, you still with me here?"

The Pokemon had remained limp even with the Eevee tripping over it, but all of the voices stirring around it, namely that belonging to Sleet, began to make it through. The little bird Pokemon was pulled back to reality, its eyes blinking open and letting out a weak cooing sound. Through the pain and the shock of the attack, it was impossible for it to form any words. It cringed at the pain, barely making too much sense of its surroundings. Sleet's voice was something soothing to it, though, and it felt safer now, even though they were strangers.

"Hey, Sleet, I found two of them!" Gwenn called out, grabbing them up in his mouth. Of course, what the poor little Eevee didn't realize was that there was only one potion in his mouth. The other round object was actually a Pokeball that had somehow ended up in Sleet's knapsack, and yet, the poor Eevee had mistaken it for the rounded end of a potion bottle. "Here, hurry Gwenn, the poor thing's started to come to. I wanna get those potions on him before he starts really feeling the pain." she called out, craddling the poor bird Pokemon in her arms. Upon a closer inspection though, she realized that this wasn't a Pokemon she'd ever seen before. Of course, she'd seen Pokemon from regions such as Johto and Kanto, as well as the ones from her own home region, but this wasn't one of them. If only it would regain full consciousness, I could find out what did this to it, and where it's from...
While she was thinking, Gwenn made his way over to Sleet, and handed her one of the Pokeballs. "Thanks..." Sleet said absent-mindedly, and she gently touched the release button, or, what she thought to be the spray button, and a sudden blast of red light appeared. "Dangit Gwenn! You brought me Squirtle's Pokeball! Give me the potion!" she snapped, scared that something would happen to the bird. Of course, the poor little Eevee simply dropped both the second ball and potion, and hid behind a tree, while watching his trainer pick up the actual potion, and spraying it on the little one. "Come on hun, you gotta wake up..." And still the problems continued to unfold as Gwenn spotted the Pokemon that Sleet had released, and realized that it definitely wasn't Squirtle. "Sleet!" he called out, worried about the new arrival. "Not right now!" was all the reply that she got back, and instead of trying again, Gwenn started to walk over to the odd Pokemon...

The Pidove was endearing its pain in silence even with all of the commotion going on around it. It seemed very good at dealing with the pain. That was, until Sleet sprayed the potion onto its feathers. It squawked suddenly, the potion stinging a little at first. In moments, however, it began to kick in and the pain began to fade away. It was able to shuffle so that it was sitting up right, slowly lifting its head to take a good look at the trainer.
"T-thank you," it stammered out, sounding quite grateful, indeed. It hadn't seemed to notice the peculiar Spinda yet, either, until it began to look around. "I...believe he saw something..." It explained, on the Eevee's behalf.

"You're welcome. Though there's no need to thank me. You were really hurt, and shouldn't try anything right now; just wait and rest." Sleet told the little bird, worried about it trying to do something and causing itself more pain. The potion had helped, but that didn't mean it was going to be all right, at least not for sure. They all had to get to the Pokemon Center in the next town before long, or else she'd have some serious problems.
"Huh?" she said, wondering what it meant when it told her that someone had seen something. But then she realized that the bird was talking about Quinlan, and looked around. "What the heck!?" she said to herself, suddenly realizing why Quin had begun putting up such a racket. There was some odd blue Spinda walking toward her Eevee, and she quickly set the bird down, albeit quite gently, and rushed over to defend her Eevee. "Two wild Pokemon at once?" she asked, wondering where this thing had come from." "No, it's yours. It came from your own Pokeball." Sleet's eyes widened, and looked at the odd Spinda. "But, I never caught it. And what is it anyway? It's got wings for gosh sake!" she said, feeling extremely exasperated. She'd just found a hurt bird, and now she had an already captured Pokemon that she didn't know about? This day really wasn't working out for her...

The Pidove chirped as Sleet set it back on the ground. It lifted one foot than the other, seeming to check on if its legs still worked properly. It seemed that they were in working order and in fine condition with the help of the potion that it had been given. But, when it looked around, it seemed a little horrified by how many feathers that it lost in the previous event.
It then looked toward the strange looking Spinda for the second time, really looking at it now. It couldn't make heads or tails of it either, aside from its species. "It's a Spinda... Though I have never seen any of them around these parts. It looks funny, too..."

"Hey hey, you shouldn't be up so quickly. Be careful hun..." Sleet said, shocked that the bird was already up. "So who are you?" she asked the Spinda, unsure of what she should do about this new Pokemon. When she got no answer, Sleet decided to take matters into her own hands for the time being. "Hey, Gwenn, get my knapsack. I gotta see something." Nodding, the Eevee went over, and brought it over. Opening it back up, she set out all over her Pokeballs, and found what she was looking for answer wise, and, to her shock, another question. That question being why there was yet another ball that had a Pokemon in it, and the answers being that all of the balls Maevia had given her were still unused. "That can't be possible. But for now..." Sleet said, and pulled out an empty ball.
Gwenn saw what his trainer might be trying to do, and stood back. "Hey, um, you..." Sleet started, unsure of how to go about this. She'd always attacked Pokemon, weakened them, and then thrown her Poke'ball, but in this region, the Pokemon weren't at all like what she was used to. "Well, do you want to join my team? You're really hurt, and I'd like to help. And you would have a good home. I've already got two Pokemon here, Gwenn. and my Squirtle, and then two others I didn't really know I had... But I promise you'll be well cared for."

The Pidove merely observed the trainer and the other Pokemon without a word. Seeing as it had only come into the picture just recently, it wasn't entirely sure what was so complicated about whatever was going on. It understood the gist of it, that somehow Sleet had more Pokemon with her than she thought she did, but it didn't seem to find this to be a problem. Wasn't it actually exciting?
With the trainers invitation, however, the little bird Pokemon responded instantly, "Of course. I would be happy to join you. After all, you did save me." Had it not been for her, it may not have made it. It had been attacked and there was a good possibility that its attacker may have returned at a later time to finish it off. It was quite grateful toward the trainer for helping it. "Besides, it looks like it would be a lot of fun. With new friends appearing out of thin air, how could it not be?"

"Well, I suppose you might want to get in here to make it official?" Sleet asked, smiling. Holding out the Pokeball, she opened it up, and a red light engulfed the Pokemon, and within a second, the ball snapped shut. It fell to the forest floor, and shook once. Sleet looked back at the Spinda she'd apparently gotten through some odd means, and then back at the Pokeball. A second time. One more, and she'd have a fifth teammate with her. Of course, she had to figure out who her fourth one was, but that would be done in due time.
(Lame post is lame, since I didn't really know what to do in order to avoid god-modding a successful capture. xD;)

The Pidove nodded its head, silently agreeing with Sleet. If it was to go with her, it would have to be properly captured. With this in mind, it didn't resist the Pokeball at all and was brought safely inside. The ball shook, the button on the center of the ball blinking the entire time. After shaking a few times, however, it calmed completely.
[[In normal cases, actually, I even roleplay out the shaking process. Doing so, yourself, in a way, is taking over. Look at it like this, for example, anything the you cannot control in the games, you cannot control here. Otherwise, there isn't anything that I can respond to.]]
Congratulations! Sleet caught a Pidove!

Breathing in, she picked up the Pokeball that now held her newest team member, and gently tucked it into her knapsack. Sleet now knew that she was going to need to get out as fast as possible in order to heal her Pokemon, and to get much needed supplies. She was also eager to get directions to the newly opened training area. It was just what she needed for her Pokemon; a place that she could easily train both herself and her team. It was the perfect idea. She just had to get to that darn old town...
Of course, after a few minutes of simply sitting on the forest floor and thinking about all of this, she remembered that there was an extremely odd Spinda only a few feet away from her, and that she was going to have to figure out what to do about that problem as well.

The Spinda seemed to realize that Sleet wasn't quite okay with it's sudden appearance, and hoped that the odd girl wouldn't be against her being there. Deciding that he might as well introduce himself and her brother who was, at the time, stuck in his Pokeball which was wedged on the back of his wings. This was done by another friend of his in the Alternate World before he and Orion had chosen to get out and explore the real world. Orion wasn't in the best condition though, and he wanted to know that the Pokemorph would be willing to help them before telling her anything big.
"Hello, young Pokemorph." he said slowly. "I'm Zellion, a Fairy Spinda from a place called the Alternate World. I'm quite sure that you've heard of Lord Giratina, and the other legendaries. The world that I'm from, as well as the other fairy breeds, is controlled by their emotions. I've been looking for a trainer, and would appreciate a new home. Do you think..." he trailed off, and turned around, realizing how desperate and dumb he sounded.

"Holy Articuno... You've got to be kidding me!" Sleet muttered, looking at the Spinda. An alternate world? Giratina? It sounded like the mysterious ghost Pokemon's kind of world, but for all of the legendaries to have an effect on a single dimension certainly seemed to spell chaos. And it made since that such an odd kinda of Pokemon would come from there. But it seemed that the Spinda-no, not the Spinda, but Zellion- was asking for Sleet to be its trainer. That was just what the Pokemorph needed, more odd, mysterious Pokemon. She already had a shiny like Eevee, and a hurt bird Pokemon who she didn't even know the species of, and now this? Shaking her head, Sleet looked at the Pokemon, and made her decision. "You want me to be your trainer. Well, if you really want me to be your trainer, I suppose I can't say no, since I need all the help I can get. Do you have a Pokeball that I can use, or do I need one of my own?" Sleet asked, wondering how this was going to work. With the bird Pokemon she'd just caught, she'd needed one of her own, but with Quinlan, there was already a Pokeball. So she decided to just ask this time around to avoid the confusion.

Zellion's eyes -or swirls- lit up when Sleet said that she could accept him on the team. Finally, a way to stay out of that blasted Alternate World. Zellion had all the respect in the world for King Giratina, and for all the legendaries, but he hated that ever changing world. One day you'd be sleeping peacefully under a blue hickory wood tree, and the next thing you knew, the ground under you was changing into lava, and the sky was red as fire. He couldn't take it, and he didn't want Orion to be hurt on accident due to the ever changing landscape. The blasted fool was always wandering around and trying to help everyone, and never really took time to worry about himself, which was the main reason Zellion needed to get out of there with him.
Of course, now that he thought about it, he was going to have to tell the Pokemorph that his brother also needed a home. Since if she tried to return him, it wouldn't be very pretty, trying to get a Pokemon with a Pokeball into another Pokeball. But Zellion didn't really want to risk the girl deciding not to take in either of them, and decided not to tell her just yet. "Oh. thank you so much! I'm already tough enough to hold my own against some of the basic battles, so I won't be a burden." he said, smiling. "Good, since we need to make sure that we're all okay for the roads ahead." she said, nodding. "But what about the Pokeball situation?" she asked again, sensing that Zellion was trying to avoid it.

Zellion sighed, knowing that he'd have to tell Sleet about the Pokeball and his brother. "Well... It's kinda hard to explain..." he said quietly. "How so? I've already agreed to taking you in, so you shouldn't have to hide anything from me. I promise that I won't get mad." Sleet started. But after a few seconds, she wasn't quite sure that she was going to be okay with whatever it was that Zellion was going to say. Regardless, the Spinda didn't seem to be a threat, but quite the contrary. He seemed to be somewhat afraid of others actually. Like he was indeed hiding something.
And that was when Sleet noticed two objects being held by Zellion's thin wings. Pokeballs? she thought to herself. Upon closer inspection, it appeared that there were two Pokeballs there. "So is this what you're hiding Zellion?" Sleet asked, not sure what to expect. It seemed that one ball was actually occupied, and the other had already been used in a capture. Oh boy... she muttered to herself. So who's in this one? she asked Zellion, giving him a hard stare.
